Coenzyme Q-10 is a naturally occurring lipid soluble antioxidant in the body. Its antioxidant properties help to protect against lipid peroxidation and DNA damage and helps protect against free radicals which are mainly responsible for cellular ageing. It is also required for energy production as it plays a vital role in ATP production and it also helps maintain and promote a healthy heart and blood pressure. The production of Coenzyme Q-10 has been shown to decrease with age.
