Lecithin
Lecithin is a generic term to designate any group of yellow-brownish fatty substances occurring in animal and plant tissues, and in egg yolk. It is composed of phosphoric acid, choline, fatty acids, glycerol, glycolipids, triglycerides, and phospholipids. It is often used as an emulsifying agent and may help to support fat metabolism and cell membrane function. Lecithin is available from Holland & Barrett in a variety of forms including granules, soft gels and chewable tablets.
