Cooling on skin
“I had overdone the retinol and my skin was red/sensitive. I applied this gel after using pure coconut oil to cleanse. It stung a little initially but cooled and soothed my skin overnight. I think it will be effective in the summer for it's cooling benefits. I don't sunbathe, but I am in my hot flush years so cooling my skin is of benefit. It's not appropriate for use under makeup due to being somewhat sticky, but that's not it's intended use anyway. I paid half price for this item and it is excellent value at that price, however the full price seems high so I've given it four stars.”

“I agree with the previous reviewer - this is indeed very sticky when put on but does soothe skin. And stays sticky too. I guess it's a trade off between tackiness and soothing quality of product.”
