Holland & Barrett Halibut Liver Oil Capsules contain Halibut Liver Oil, which is a natural source of vitamins A and D. Vitamin A is important in the maintenance of normal skin, vision and immune system function, whilst vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscle function.

What Are the Benefits of This Supplement?
- Vitamin A is important in the maintenance of normal skin, vision, and immune system function. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble nutrient; it contributes to normal iron metabolism, maintenance of normal mucus membranes, maintenance of normal skin, maintenance of normal vision and normal function of the immune system.
- Vitamin D is also known as the sunshine vitamin, as our bodies produce it when our skin comes into contact with direct sunlight. It can be difficult to get Vitamin D, especially in the winter months, and so the NHS recommends that you take a daily Vitamin D supplement. Vitamin D helps to support normal absorbtion and utilisation of calcium and phosphate in the body. Vitamin D supports the maintenance of normal bones and muscle function as well as the normal function of the immune system.

Directions:
Take one softgel capsule daily, preferably with a meal. Do not exceed stated dose.

No Artificial Colours, Flavours or Sweeteners. No Preservatives. No added Sugar or Salt. No Starch, No Corn, No Milk, No Lactose, No Gluten, No Wheat, No Yeast, No Porcine.
Advisory information:

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medications or under medical supervision, please consult a doctor or healthcare professional before use. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if adverse reactions occur. Pregnant Women: Do not take this product if you are pregnant or likely to become pregnant. Pregnant women should not supplement with more than 800μg (2,664 I.U.) preformed Vitamin A daily except on the advice of a doctor or ante-natal clinic. All supplements containing Vitamin A (preformed Retinol) are best avoided by those who regularly eat liver and products made from liver. Long term intake of amounts greater than 1150μg daily of Vitamin A are best avoided by postmenopausal women and older people who are at increased risk of osteoporosis. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not use if seal under cap is broken or missing.

Great alternative to other fish oils
“Smaller capsules and less odour than cod and other fish oil tablets. Yet they are very effective. Usually more expensive than cod but worth the extra.”
