Holland & Barrett Prime Pitted Prunes is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so good. Have always purchased Neal's Yard Soft & Juicy dried fruit in the past but cannot seem to find them in H & B anymore and have to say these are a poor substitute - sorry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not quite as expected Not all the prunes were soft and succulent as advertised. Some were in fact on the tough side

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A convenient size I have been purchasing H&B pitted prunes for several years, in the past I bought 800 gram bags because of price advantage. My recommended recipe is to use 200 grams along with a tablespoon of H&B mixed seeds and pour boiling water over them (just to cover) then pop in the fridge to cool overnight so that they slowly stew and develope a rich prune sauce. Every morning I serve up 2 or 3 tablespoons into a dish for my very 1st food of the day, they are wonderful for the intestines/colon etc. I have now started buying these 200 gram bags, very fairly priced and it means that they are fresh from the packet rather than re-sealed. Highly recommended, use nature not laxatives to develop a regular movement, it will put a spring in your step. I would be interested in hearing of any enhanced recipes if you know of any, I have used mine for some 55 years! RL.
