Preparation and Usage:
Top tip: For an even lighter, tastier batter, add gluten free beer to the mix instead of water. You can also use with chicken, vegetables or fruits.<br>
You will need:
125g of Isabel's Batter Mix
180g approx. of cold water or gluten free beer
Vegetable oil for frying.
1. Pre-heat the oil for frying.
2. Empty sachet contents into a large bowl. Slowly whisk the required amount of water or gluten free beer into the mix to form a smooth and thick batter.
3. Dip pieces of fish, chicken, vegetables or fruit into the batter. Shake off any excess and place each piece into the hot oil. Fry until golden and cooked through.
4. Place the fried items on kitchen towel. Keep warm in a pre-heated oven if required.
Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the item being cooked.
Once cooked, the batter is best eaten straight away for a light, crisp texture.
