Preparation and Usage:
Top tip: Try adding fresh herbs such as garlic or oregano during mixing, or place small pieces of cheese or ham inside each roll.
You will need:
125g of Isabel's Dough Balls Mix
80ml of water
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 large egg lightly whisked
50g of grated cheddar cheese
1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C / 350°F (160°C for fan assisted) Gas Mark 4.
2. Empty the content of the sachet into a large bowl and make a well in the middle. Add the cheese, oil, egg and water mixing vigorously with a wooden spoon until it forms a pliable dough.
3. Grease your hands and roll the dough into a baton, then cut into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into small rolls of approx. 30mm diameter. Place on a non-stick tray 2cm apart.
4. Bake for 25 minutes. The dough balls will be ready when they have doubled in size and the cheese bits turn slightly golden.
Freezing instructions: Place the shaped dough onto a tray, cover with cling film and freeze for 2-3 hours. Place the frozen dough balls into freezer bags and use within 2 months. Bake direct from frozen in a pre-heated oven.
