Rated 5 out of 5 by VeganSaz from This is great to have in the cupboard on standby. Texture is good as long as you get the seasonings right and have a good recipe you are onto a winner. I have given this to meat eaters and they did not know the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GmomodS from Completely surprised I bought these for the first time yesterday with a rewards voucher. To be honest I wasn't looking for them but after cutting out mince due to wanting to avoid red meat, and generally avoiding branded mycoprotein products due to high salt contents, I thought 'go on and see'. What a revelation.... It tastes exactly as I remember red meat to (this from an ongoing meat eater!). Rich and with a good texture and took barely any time at all to make. Reconstituted (with water in a few minutes) this pack makes about 1.5kg of mince and is therefore super value. Now I can enjoy chillis and other foods again that I used to always use mince in. Defo one for the keepers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by bigchief from This mince rehydrates really easily and tastes great when used in dishes like spag bol & lasagne. Recently became vegan and my children haven't noticed any difference to when I used to cook these dishes with beef mince as the texture is similar, if a little finer, as I still add all the same veg and spices. I worked the price out to be under 70p for 500g of mince when rehydrated so also incredibly good value for a great, tasty protein source. Just ordered some more along with the protein chunks which I will use instead of diced chicken. TIP - add to pan after you have sauted your veg etc as the caramel colouring can run out of the mince if cooked for too long.
