Soak in cold water for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight, discard the water and rinse. Simmer for 40-45 mins. The cooked beans can be served on their own or be used in soups, salads or pates. Alternatively add the soaked beans to casseroles or stews with 40 minutes remaining.
