Dried porcini mushrooms are a great store cupboard ingredient. To use: soak for 20 minutes in warm water or milk, drain, and use like an ordinary mushroom in risottos, stroganoffs, stews or stir fries.
May contain milk, nuts, gluten, soya and sesame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fruitbat Good quality, tastes great Overall, I am quite satisfied with this product. At first it seemed like there isn't much content for the price, but the mushrooms expand significantly after being rehydrated. The downside is that there are traces of sand or soil on the dried mushrooms, and even after soaking a while they sometimes need to be washed, so you can't put them directly into food. And 20 minutes soaking, as recommended, is not really enough. I recommend soaking them for at least 4-5 hours and then using the liquid in cooking as well. Other than that, really good cooking ingredient, will definitely buy again. 17 September 2015
