Rosehip oil has long been known for its ability to hydrate and help with the skin renewal process. But organic rosehip oil also has a range of other potential uses that many people may be less aware of.
Rosehip oil for scars and skin damage
Rosehip oil is great as a moisturiser and can help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Rosehip Oil may help to stimulate the skin renewal and shedding process.
The general idea behind the impact of rosehip oil is that its fatty acids and vitamins A and C can help with oxidative stress and collagen production. That means that it could also be good for stretch marks too.
Another very small study conducted on women on holidays in a hot climate, found that rosehip could also be used as a after sun care oil.
The women in the study observed that months of regular use of rosehip oil could help reduce the appearance of subtle fine lines.
That said, whilst rosehip oil can be used after exposure to sun, it shouldn’t be used in place of sunscreen.
