How does performance lean work?
When you create a calorie deficit, aka consuming less calories than your body is burning through moving more, eating less, or both, your body is going to be on the search for other energy sources. Your body likes to use fat for fuel first, only turning to your muscles and other proteins in the body if you don’t eat and starve your body of all fat reserves. However, if you fail to consume enough protein in your diet, you will struggle to gain muscle and could experience muscle loss. This is even more common when you are exercising or training, because if your muscles become torn and you don’t feed your body enough protein to rebuild them then they may decrease in size. Use 2-3 servings of Lean Protein daily to help tone and maintain a lean physique. Do not exceed stated dose.
