What it is

Provenance connects sustainability and impact information to every purchase

What does that mean?

They help brands turn their sustainability efforts into bitesize claims. Each claim is backed with proof, known as Proof Points to give you the confidence to buy in line with their values.

 

The Proof Points explained

Proof Points are the bitesize claims that can be backed with certifications that are continuously developed with internationally recognised partner organisations to meet evolving standards and regulatory requirements. Below we've explained some of the Proof Points you'll find while shopping at Holland & Barrett.

  • Vegan: The product contains no animal products - or derivates of animal products - and none were involved in the relevant production processes
  • Widely Recyclable Packaging: This product's packaging is kerbside collected and can be broken down into raw materials and repurposed so it can be used again. Some materials may not be universally recyclable - always check local guidelines. 
  • Organic: products in this category have been certified as organic by a third party according to organic regulations for its specific product category. For example, for food products, this means 95% of the agricultural ingredients must be certified organic and for cosmetics a minimum of 20% (10% for rinse-off products) of ingredients are certified organic.
