Stages of menopause

Pre-menopause - Your hormones are fluctuating, but there are no noticeable changes in your body, and you still have your periods
Perimenopause - Your levels of estrogen, the main female sex hormone, begin to decline causing changes to the length of your menstrual cycle.
Menopause - Your levels of estrogen drop further, and your body produces me follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) as a response. Your body stops producing eggs and your periods stop.
