Holland & Barrett Bold Black Rice is not your average rice. It is naturally black due to its anthocyanin content, so why not try something different and add a splash of colour to your home cooking?
Black rice can take quite a bit longer to cook than white rice so give yourself 60 minutes to ensure the rice is cooked. You can speed this up if you soak the rice ahead of time.

Ratio: 2 cups water to 1 cup rice. Rinse the rice two or three times. Bring water to the boil and leave rice to simmer for 20-35 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Turn off heat and leave to sit for 15 minutes before fluffing rice with a fork.
