Cacao nibs are pieces of raw, pure cacao bean, from an evergreen tree, which grows naturally in tropical climates around the world. It is well-known as the basic ingredient in chocolate. Cacao has for centuries been central to diets in its native areas, and once proclaimed as the ‘Food of the Gods’ by the ancient Aztecs.

Cacao Nibs have a strong aroma and carry an intense earthy dark chocolate flavour. Great added to cereals, smoothies, yoghurt, muffins. Why not try sprinkling over a thick layer of peanut butter on warm toast for a chocolaty peanut breakfast, or try infusing in hot water with a tiny drop of vanilla for an indulgent drink.
