Holland & Barrett Toasted Cous Cous has a slightly chewy texture, similar to barley, and, because it's toasted, it has a slightly savoury flavour.
It can be used much like pasta, rice, or any other whole grain. Add a handful to salads or add it to soup to add a more full-bodied texture.

Using a ratio of 1.25 parts water (or stock) to 1 part cous cous, bring to a simmer for about 10 minutes. When the grains will fluff up just slightly, remove from heat. These grains will have an "al dente" mouth feel when done cooking.
