What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is an active substance found in the hemp oil extracted from leaves and flowers of the hemp plant, a member of the cannabis family.
Available in a variety of formats, including gummies, CBD tablets and CBD Jacob Hooy capsules and available as a simple oil too, CBD is extracted from the cannabis sativa plant and added to a carrier, most commonly hemp seed oil.

CBD has been used to treat niggling back pain for thousands of years, with the earliest recorded use as long ago as 2900 BC.
Hemp’s use as a pain reliever certainly does not appear to be without merit.

CBD’s a bit of a busy body by all accounts. Not only is it happy to interfere with pain receptors, it also interacts with the brain’s serotonin receptors.
This has made it effective in easing the symptoms of a variety of mental health issues, including depression, PTSD and even addiction.
Supplementing with CBD appears to be particularly effective at helping to relieve feelings of stress and anxiety, which in turn could help to lower blood pressure, providing extra protection for the heart.
CBD dosage
Placing just a few drops (up to 15 in total) of this quality oil under the tongue 2 – 3 times a day can help you to enjoy the much talked about benefits of CBD oil.
As CBD oil has a distinctive taste, we recommend a small glass of water after taking it, helping the flavour to diminish within 30 seconds.
The approximate dose per serving is 20mg, calculated based on three 0.05ml drops per serving.

Directions:
Put a few drops under the tongue 2-3 times a day. Max 15 drops. Leave the oil in the mouth for 1 minute before swallowing. Gradually build up the dose. This is different for every individual. Do not exceed the recommended daily allowance. Drink water afterwards to help with the taste.
