Stubborn tickly coughs getting you down? Feel like you need a little antibacterial goodness to get you through the winter? Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey could be your saviour.

High in antibacterial properties and oh-so-tasty, Manuka honey is a natural health booster you can enjoy every day. It’s great dissolved into a warm cup of chamomile tea, drizzled over yoghurt and granola or simply popped into your mouth on a spoon.

So why is Manuka Pharm Manuka honey so special?

The benefits of Manuka honey come from its high levels of the chemical DHA. The Manuka bush, a native of New Zealand, has naturally high levels of DHA.

With its high levels of DHA – which goes through the Maillard reaction to form MGO – comes high antibacterial properties. Manuka honey can help to soothe the symptoms of colds and flu, like scratchy coughs and swollen throats.

It also tastes lovely! A richer and creamier version of your regular supermarket runny honey, Manuka honey can be mixed into smoothies, drizzled over porridge or used as a sticky-sweet marinade for meat, fish or tofu – mmm!

For Manuka honey to be classified as such, the bees who made it must have predominantly used the Manuka bush as its nectar source. But how can we possibly know that? Well, the bees have tiny little trackers under their wings… just kidding! Scientists in New Zealand-approved laboratories test each and every Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey batch to see if it has the four chemical Manuka honey chemical markers and also tests it for its MGO (methylglyoxal) levels to determine its strength.

What is the difference between multifloral Manuka honey and monofloral Manuka honey?

Both multifloral Manuka honey and multifloral Manuka honey have antibacterial benefits, the only difference is that bees who make multifloral honey visit other flowering plants as well as the Manuka bush. This Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey is multifloral.

How do I know I’m getting the ‘real deal’ Manuka honey?

Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey can be traced all the way back to the hive and beekeeper it came from. This feature plus all the Manuka-defining tests each batch of honey has to go through before it leaves New Zealand’s shores, should give you peace of mind that you’re getting high-quality authentic Manuka honey.
