Manuka Pharm are specialists in high quality New Zealand Harvested Manuka Honey, guaranteed from Hive to Home. MGO (Methylglyoxal) rating in Manuka honey is derived from DHA which is naturally present in the nectar of the Manuka Bush. Within the hive DHA undergoes the Maillard reaction to form MGO. Our MGO levels are validated by independent labs in NZ and the UK.
Manuka honey is made by the bees gathering pollen from the Manuka bush (Leptospermum Scoparium). The plant is indigenous to New Zealand, beekeepers set up their hives in wild uncultivated areas in which Manuka bushes grow. Manuka Pharm honey is 100% pure New Zealand honey and is not blended with honey from other nations. The pollution free New Zealand environment ensures that every jar is honey as nature intended.

In 2018, we made the decision as a brand to adopt new stringent guidelines, in line with the New Zealand government approved standard, that ensured customers know they are buying genuine New Zealand Manuka Honey. Testing in both New Zealand, where our Manuka honey is harvested, and by Fera labs in the UK, ensures customers only get the purest, strongest, undiluted Manuka Honey, where antibacterial strength is measured and presented in a robust and transparent way.
