This Keto Porridge combines superfood seeds of the finest quality from all over the world to feed and nourish your body. It has the taste and texture of porridge but contains no added sugar and no oats for a tasty keto-friendly breakfast. Crunchy and filling, the chia seeds in this delicious mix are sourced from the sunny fields of South America, where the chia plants have been cultivated for thousands of years. There, they were thought of so highly in Aztec times that the locals paid them as legal tender to their kings. Very temperamental, the chia plant can only grow under very specific conditions. We only source chia that grows in its natural ocurring range and it is looked after by local farmers who follow innovative cultivation and harvesting methods that were passed down through generations.
Another nutrient powerhouse prized since ancient times for its health benefits and versality, flaxseeds provide key nutrients to our Keto Porridges. Today they are popular for their high content of fibre and omega-3 essential fatty acids, but in ancient times they were so celebrated for so many reasons that the Emperor of Charlemagne is believed to have enforced their consumption by law. From plant to pouch, the flaxseeds in our keto porridges go through minimal processing and are rigurously tested for purity. This Keto Porridge also includes hemp seeds for a boost of high-quality plant-based protein. “The consistency is a bit odd, but fine. I make it with unsweetened almond milk and a little more than the recommended amount. It takes me a long time to eat a full serving (60g) and alot of chewing due to the seeds etc, so I think that's a win! I find the taste far too artificially sweet but I think I have a low tolerance for sweetners so this may not be the same for you. I had bought at the same time Aduna super-cacao and added a teaspoon. Wow that transformed it! Suddenly its a chocolate/banana/coconut delight. In the future I won't make up a full serving as it's too much for me (never thought I'd say that in my life) but overall it's a nice product and will be a nice base for additions I.e cocoa powder/protein powder/handful of berries or nuts etc.”
