We have all had them. Those days when everything just gets on top of you. Nothing seems to go quite right, you feel stressed out, anxious and your nerves are jangling.

Next time life is getting tough, reach for Dr Bach Rescue Remedy drops, a natural formula created to help you find balance and calm, using the power of flowers.

Originally developed by homeopath and physician Dr Bach in the 1930s, Bach’s system of flower and plant-based remedies has been helping people get through stressful times for nearly 100 years.

Even celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Hugh Grant, Emma Watson and Salma Hayek swear by this smart potion, to help when personal worries and performance anxieties crop up.

Supplied by Nelsons since the very beginning, Dr Bach’s flower remedy essences, including the infamous Rescue Remedy, are still prepared using the very same process originated by Dr Bach himself.

What is in Nelsons Rescue Remedy?

Specially blended from five individual, carefully selected flower essences, Rescue Remedy for adults is a gentle, natural liquid supplied in a simple dropper for easy administering.

The essences are chosen for their soothing, balancing properties, working together in harmony to help you find peace.

Rock Rose: helping you to find courage in hard times, rock rose supports positivity and presence of mind.

Impatiens: don’t be hasty. Impatiens is chosen as a helpful reminder to slow down and think before you act.

Clematis: positive clematis encourages lively interest, helping to restore your sense of wonder.

Star of Bethlehem: the essence of strength, star of Bethlehem encourages you to carry on, even when times are tough.

Cherry Plum: serene cherry plum encourages rational thoughts and actions.

To this day Rescue Remedy bears Dr Bach’s signature and contains those five vital floral essences personally selected by the man himself for their positive potential.

When should I take Rescue Remedy?

Gentle and natural, Rescue Remedy can be taken whenever you need it, four drops simply dripped onto the tongue or into a glass of water to be sipped at leisure.

Popularly used during times of anxiety, Rescue Remedy is an ideal mental soother for nervous travellers and may relax the mind before a driving test or perhaps ahead of an important exam or job interview.

When you are going through an emotionally stressful time at home and crave support, Rescue Remedy may aid you in finding that little peace of mind that can help you to organise your thoughts and know how to react.

And after you have had an intense day and just can’t relax? Instead of reaching for the wine try a few of Dr Bach’s drops to help you wind down in a healthy, natural way.

The Dr Bach system

While many people rely on Rescue Remedy alone to support them in times of need, Dr Bach’s system offers much more besides.

A collection of 38 flower essences chosen for a wide range of purposes, the system is designed to work in harmony, with each essence corresponding to a specific emotion.

What is rescue remedy?

Dr Edward Bach developed a line of flower essences during the 1920s and 1930s called Bach Flower Remedy.

Dr Bach believed that any conditions which are caused by the presence of negative emotions, such as stress and anxiety, could be supported with the right flower essences.

Dr Bach rescue remedy is a blend of five different wildflowers: cherry plum, clematis, impatiens, rock rose and star of Bethlehem.

Rescue remedy for adults is made by creating an infusion from flowers. The flowers are placed in water and then exposed to a heat source, like sunlight. The flowers are then removed and discarded and the liquid is stored for use.
