Powdered erythritol is a natural zero calorie icing sugar replacement used to sweeten just about anything! It is a very fine powder with a similar texture to icing sugar so dissolves very quickly. It is ideal for recipes where a faster dissolving and finer sugar is needed, such as icing sugar, ice cream and meringues.
As part of the “sugar alcohol” family, Erythritol is a naturally derived sugar from fruit and plants and passes straight through your body undigested. Therefore, erythritol does not affect blood glucose levels and has zero net carbohydrates! This makes it the perfect sugar alternative for ketogenic dieters and anyone reducing calories and their sugar intake. It's also great for your teeth! Erythritol is 70% the sweetness of sugar so you need to use 130g of erythritol for every 100g of sugar in baking.
