Description

Sometimes it can be just as hard to put on weight as it is to lose it.

Struggle to eat large amounts of food? Want to gain some serious muscle? There are many reasons why you may want to put on weight, and consuming more protein is one of the healthiest ways to do so.

A mistake a lot of people make when they want to gain muscle weight is starting to eat lots of junk and high-fat foods like takeaways, cakes, chocolate, etc. when what they really need is protein. This Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass powder is the ultimate weight gain formula. In each weight-gain shake, you get 1,250 calories and less than 5g of fat per serving. This includes 250g of carbohydrates and 50g of blended protein to support muscle growth.

The protein powder contains creatine which can improve your exercise routine. It also contains 25 vitamins and minerals including vitamin B12, magnesium, biotin, vitamin C and calcium, so it can also help support your micronutrient requirements.

How does protein help with weight gain?

You need to be consuming more calories than your body is burning to gain weight, and if that comes from protein then it makes it easier for your body to turn it into muscle. If you get more calories from carbohydrates or fat, your body will store it as fat instead.

How much protein do I need to gain muscle?

If you want to gain muscle, it is recommended that you consume 1.8g of protein for every kg you weigh. And do some weight training, of course!

What are the benefits of creatine?

Creatine is a firm gym-bunny favourite, known to boost athletic performance. It can increase energy levels in muscle cells, speed up muscle growth, and improve performance of high-intensity exercises.

How to enjoy Optimum Serious Mass Chocolate Protein Powder:

Simply mix 2 scoops of protein powder with water or your choice of milk then shake or stir until the powder is dissolved. Supercharge your Serious Mass shake by adding fresh or frozen fruits, nut butters, flaxseed, chia seeds, or other ingredients into the mix for even more of a calorie and protein hit.

Enjoy the protein shakes between meals, after your workout or before bed.

How can creatine benefit me?

There are also 3g of creatine in each scoop of Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass.

Creatine is found naturally in muscle cells.

Creatine is known for increasing physical performance in successive bursts of short-term high intensity exercise. This beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 of creatine.

How much protein should I be eating to gain muscle?

Studies suggest that you should eat between 1.6g to 1.8g of protein for every 1kg you weigh to gain muscle.

However, you must do heavy weight training alongside this to build actual muscle mass.

Can Serious Mass help me gain weight?

When taken alongside a healthy, balanced, and controlled diet, Serious Mass can help you build muscle and gain mass.

That is because you need to eat more calories than you burn to put on weight.

However, not everyone can eat the large amounts of food required to gain a significant amount of weight.

To put on muscle mass, you need protein, as it is easier to turn into muscle.

If you were to eat too many fatty or high-carb foods, your body would simply store them as fat, not muscle.

How much Serious Mass should I take?

For the first week, you may find it easier to take ½ scoop to allow your body to adjust to the increased protein intake.

Increase this amount to one or more full servings a few times a day.

How should I serve Serious Mass?

Simply add two heaped scoops into a blender along with 710ml non or low-fat milk and then blend for 45 to 60 seconds.

This will result in a creamy shake – especially if you throw a few ice cubes into the blender.

Alternatively, you can simply prepare it with water and shake it thoroughly, using a shaker cup.

Serious Mass is a versatile protein drink.

Depending on your nutrition goals, you can add your favourite fruits, such as banana and strawberries, nut butter, flaxseeds, and other tasty ingredients to support your weight gain progress.
