Some of the vitamins and supplements that you know and love have just had a planet-friendly packaging makeover!
We’re all about sustainability here at H&B, which is why we’ve reviewed some of our current packaging and made it kinder to the environment.
What’s different?
When it came to transforming our packaging, we had three key pillars in mind. These were: reduce, reuse and recycle.
So how have we incorporated these ambitions into our packaging? Now, a wide selection of our vitamin bottles are now made from a minimum of:
- 80% recycled plastic
- 20% less plastic overall
As well as:
- No more plastic wrap on the caps
But that’s not all. We’ve also reduced the colour levels to make them easier to recycle.
Why plastic and not glass?
Our new bottles are now 20% lighter.
They have a lower carbon footprint than heavier glass bottles after factoring in production & transportation.
A look at our new planet-friendly packaging
Want to know how to spot our new packaging that’s kinder to the environment? Here’s what they look like:

Instead of being brightly coloured and encased with heavyweight virgin PET bottles, they’ll now be packaged in lightly tinted, 100% recycled lightweight PET bottles.
The facts and figures
It’s one thing to say that our packaging has had an eco-friendly upgrade, but what does this mean for our plastic usage?
Since swapping out a large number of our bottles for our new, recycled lightweight ones, by July 2022 we’ll be saving:
- 177 tonnes of plastic per year
- 535 tonnes of virgin plastic per year
- 8 tonnes of plastic just in the first 3 months
- 13,200 square metres of shrink sleeve plastic
