Rated 5 out of 5 by Healthy lunch time treat I have these as part of slimming world. On their own they do taste like roofing tiles but I am finding some lovely recipes using them. A favourite lunch time snack is 3 scan bran spread with a small pot of Chocolate Philadelphia and topped with sliced banana. Delicious!!!!!!!!!!! 03 October 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scan Bran Scan bran is the best source I've found for fiber, and I've had problems in the past, best product I've ever found, remember to drink plenty water after, (at least 2 liters) they say to have about 5 scan brans aday but even that was too much for me, try 3 every 2 days to begin with, the best way I find to eat them is to make chocolate scan bran cake. Ingredients 5 scan bran (5 sysns or HeB) ¼ cup of Candarel sweetner 1 oz cocoa (4 ½ syns) 1 tbsp golden syrup (2 syns) 3 large eggs Method 1) Soften scan bread with boiling water (pour over just enough to cover the scan bread, leave to soak for a minute and or away the excess water) 2) Add the golden syrup to the scan bran, mix and allow to cool 3) Add the eggs, cocoa and sweetener and mix well. 4) Microwave on full power for 5 minutes in a takeaway sized container very nice and you can make Scan bran ‘Ferero Rocher’ Ingredients 8 Scan Bran 4 TBSP Nuttella 2 TBSP Golden Syrup Method 1) Melt the Nuttella and Syrup together. 2) Break the Scan Bran into tiny crumbs and mix together with the Nutella and Golden syrup. 3) Mould into smalls balls and refrigerate. 4) Divided by however many ‘Ferero Rochers’ you make (approx 30) Keeps you regular whilst you enjoy them 01 May 2015

I love making chocolate,ginger cakes but the best of all is the christmas cake have it all year round & not put weight on. 05 December 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scandinavian Bran crispbread As part of my Slimming world diet I use a lot of this crispbead in my daily diet, there are numerous recipes to try, my favourite is the bakewell scan bran cake. It is a wonderful product that keeps my bowels working well and aids in a healthy diet that is essential to a healthy body and mind. I am yet to try a savoury recipe but I will definately continue to consume this crispbread knowing it's doing me good and keeping me regular. 17 June 2015
