Not for the faint hearted
“I’ve tried a few times to take these regularly but failed. The capsules are really large and that’s what stops me each time. I have never had a problem taking any medication before but these catch in my throat and one I even managed to cough back up again. I tried sprinkling them on yogurt but it tasted disgusting so abandoned that. I now have one in the morning and one in the evening but I really wish they came in half sizes so could take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening instead. Do they work..? I’m on week 3 and my skin is the worst it’s ever been so I’m hoping it’s purging. Interesting to read about how your hormones are affected though; I’m pre-menopausal and wondering now if these pills are affecting my cycle.”

“For clearing my skin these pills worked AMAZINGLY! I’d previously tried these and had no problems (been through about 4 jars). Recently I decided to try them again as my skin started to break out. However after three weeks of taking them I noticed large patches of freckles appearing on my upper arms (which I later found out was melasma caused by changes in estrogen). I felt constantly tired and my period was delayed by over a week (which is not at all common for me). After another few weeks and no changes I did some research into it and found that these were all hormonal symptoms caused by changes in estrogen (which is how the pills work to clear your skin). I immediately stopped taking the pills and the freckles began to fade and my periods became regular again. Although this doesn’t seem like a big deal it is very serious because a lack of enough estrogen can also cause infertility, depression, muscle pain etc. I am very glad i stopped taking these because clear skin just isn’t worth permanently hurting my body for. It may not have been these, but the research I did points towards these as the reason and if it’s not it was a very strange coincidence. PLEASE keep this in mind when purchasing these, I wouldn’t want anyone to go through the same experience as me.”
