“Arnica ointment is a excellent, traditional ointment for reducing swelling and bruising. I have used it many times before. The reason that I prefixed the review title with "probably" is because I have not yet had a chance to try this particular package (and I hope it's a long time before I need to!). My expectation is that it will work well. If you apply arnica ointment to bruised skin soon after injury (preferably within a few hours of injury), there is a good chance that the swelling will go does almost immediately, and with any luck any bruising will disappear within a day. The longer you wait before applying it, the less effective the arnica will be.”
