Description

Holland & Barrett Cranberry Concentrate Tablets contain the nutritional benefits of proanthocyanidins, which give cranberries their red colour.

These cranberry supplements also contain 60mg of vitamin C and 6mg of vitamin E, which play a role in supporting the normal function of the immune system.

These cranberry supplements are a great alternative to fresh cranberries, which many people find are too ‘tart’ on their palate. This means that when people eat them, they’re usually in recipes with lots of added sugar to counteract the bitterness, which we all know isn’t the best for a healthy diet!

All the goodness of cranberries but without the sugary carbs.

FAQs

Are cranberry supplements suitable for vegans?

Holland & Barrett Cranberry Concentrate Tablets are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans as they do not contain any products derived from animals.

What other nutrients do cranberry supplements contain?

Holland & Barrett Cranberry Concentrate Tablets also contain 60mg of vitamin C and 6mg of vitamin E.

Vitamin C helps support the normal functioning of the immune system.

Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant in the body, helping to protect cells from the damage caused by free radicals.

How often should you take a cranberry supplement?

It is suggested that you take one Holland & Barrett Cranberry Concentrate Tablets three times per day.

This cranberry supplement should preferably be taken with meals. So breakfast, lunch or dinner are great times to add this to your daily routine.

What’s the difference between a cranberry supplement and fresh cranberries?

Fresh cranberries and cranberry supplements both contain the nutritional benefits of proanthocyanidins, which give cranberries their bright red colour.

Fresh cranberries however can taste a little bit too tart for most people to enjoy on their own.

When they are used in recipes, a lot of sugar is usually added in order to make them taste sweeter, which is not great for a healthy diet!

Cranberry juice could be another option to eating fresh cranberries. However, cranberry juice is high in both calories and sugar.

Each 100ml glass of cranberry juice contains 45 calories and 12g of sugar so again, this is not necessarily a healthy option. Cranberry sauces and jellies also contain a lot of sugar.

Furthermore, you would have to eat a lot of fresh cranberries or drink several pints of cranberry juice in order to get the same amount of benefits as can be found in concentrated supplements.

What are cranberry supplements for?

Cranberry concentrate tablets are made from powdered, dried cranberries which are then bound together into a tablet form.

Some cranberry supplements like this one also contain additional nutrients like vitamins C and E and all the health benefits that come along with these vitamins
