Digestive Ease is made for those weeks, and for the quieter ones in between. It brings together three of the plants most closely associated with comfortable, unhurried digestion in Ayurveda, taken that way for centuries.

Triphala is the heart of it. The name means three fruits, and those are amla, bibhitaki and haritaki. Brought together in one formula, they're gentle enough to be part of an everyday routine rather than something you turn to now and then.

Triphala is naturally astringent and drying, so fennel comes in to soften it. Sweet, cooling and settling, it's the seed passed round at the end of a meal in India, and it has been for centuries, for reasons anyone who has eaten a large dinner will recognise.

Ginger then warms things back up, keeping the two cooling herbs in balance. Two cooling herbs, one warming, sitting close to the middle. That balance is the whole idea, and it's why this is something you can take every day rather than only after the heavy ones.

Organic zinc from guava leaf completes the blend. Where the herbs have been chosen for the meal itself, zinc is involved in what the body does with that meal afterwards.
