“The toner works well to hydrate skin after cleansing although it seems a heavier in consistency than other toners I have used previously . However it absorbs lightly into the skin. It has a slight scent which I wasn’t too keen on but others may love it. A little goes a long way”

Surprisingly effective!
“I was a little surprised by this as I've only ever used much more liquid toners so this seemed more like a serum than a toner to me. It's thicker than a usual toner (hence lotion) and it is suggested that you use fingers to apply rather than a cotton pad. It feels a bit sticky at first but that soon passes and it is absorbed. After a week of use my skin definitely feels plumper and smoother and looks more hydrated. My skin can be quite sensitive but it isn't having any adverse reaction. Overall I'm pleased with the effect it is having. So I guess for me it's 5 stars for the effect but 4 stars because I'm not sure about its stickiness!”

Not for me
“I really wanted to love this but sadly it wasn't to be. This is the third Q+A toner I've used (previously green tea and niacinamide) but unfortunately I still got the same redness afterwards, although considerably less stinging and tingling with this one. The texture was a bit more jelly like and initially it felt quite soothing and refreshing but after a few minutes the redness was there, especially on dryer areas of my face. I didn't want to aggravate my skin so unfortunately had to stop using, but less sensitive skin types might be fine.”

Great product!
“I really love this toning lotion. It’s got a gel like consistency, that’s not sticky and goes on easily. You hardly need any product per application so I think the bottle is going to last for ages. It’s given my skin a lovely feel post- use. I usually use the Nicinamide toner, which I also really like, but I think I will buy this one again as it feels less drying on my skin.”

Great consistency and absorption
“I’ve used this as a first application in my skincare routine for a week. It takes a few goes to get the amount right but it absorbs nicely and doesn’t leave a sheen which I find some toners do. Skin feels fresh and supple and more awake after using. Plays well with other Q+A products applied after.”
