Our current batch of the Organic Dareeling Green is from the Steinthal Tea Estate. After successful experiments growing tea in the Darjeeling region in the 1840's, Steinthal Tea Estate and its sister Singtom Tea Estate were the first to be planted in 1852 by German priest Joachim Stoelke known locally as 'Father Steinthal'. Many of the original trees still exist and are harvested to this day.

This tea was harvested in the month of August and was processed using the method of steaming and roasting.
