Excessive, regular consumption of liquorice root can contribute to increased blood pressure.
To make an infusion, steep 1-2 teaspoons of loose tisane (or a tea bag) in boiling water for 5-15 minutes, then strain and sip. Drink up to 3 cups a day. Cover while infusing.
