Organic Turmeric Powder - 200g

Taka Turmeric Organic Turmeric Powder is single origin ground turmeric from organic farms in Karnataka, southern India, certified organic by the Soil Association. We have bought direct from the same growers since 2015.

The root is dried whole over one to two weeks, gently steam sterilised, then ground into a fine golden powder. Deep saffron gold with a peppery, lightly citrus aroma. Earthy and gently bitter, it mellows into sweetness once warmed through.

100% organic turmeric root powder (Curcuma longa).

How to use

Add ½ to 1 tsp to curries and dals with the onions and garlic. Stir ½ tsp into rice water, toss with roasted veg, or whisk into warm milk for a turmeric latte. You can also simmer it into a golden paste to keep in the fridge. Around 100 servings per pouch.

The colour shifts slightly from harvest to harvest, which is natural for whole root turmeric.
