“I’ve been using this dye for a while as I’m allergic to box dyes. This is messy and time consuming but the end result is worth it. My hair is soft and nourished after the first wash. (I rinse it out after the specified time but don’t shampoo until the next day). It covers greys and gives my natural dark brown hair a real shine with a hint of chestnut. I sometimes mix it with a small amount of the dark brown if I want it slightly darker. The colour lasts about 4-5 weeks on the roots if I use a natural shampoo. Odylic or soap bars keep the colour much longer than the usual brands (they strip the colour on the first wash). I find I don’t even need a conditioner.”

Great for natural colour.
“Lovely product. Decided to try this as an alternative to expensive salon colouring ( also with natural plant based products and henna). This was just as good , covered developing grey hair, left my hair soft and shiny and after two weeks the colour is just as good. I used chestnut which is the closest to my own natural hair colour: the result was very natural and they grey strands have a red copper tone which look like highlights , but blend well. As I have fine short hair I didn’t need to use the whole bag and still have some left for another time . I left mine on for an hour assisted by a thermal cap and this was sufficient. The only downside was the smell which was very earthy, but this can be overlooked as the nasty chemicals were avoided. You also need someone to help with the application to avoid ending up with patchy colour So far the colour is lasting well, but do expect fade as this product only coats the hair rather than penetrating like chemical colouring. Personally I prefer this to keep my hair in top condition as my hairdresser always compliments me on how healthy my hair is. Will definitely be using this again as it’s very cost effective.”
