“Decided to give bar shampoo a try and went with ethiques sweet and spicy bar based off the hair review. I love it! It lathers so well, easy to use, doesnt dry my scalp out, more space in the shower, and of course plastic free! I'll be purchasing again! I only wish it was a little more scented.”

Never going back
“[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honest review from someone who rarely leaves reviews: I've looked for YEARS to find the right shampoo for my fine, combination hair. I felt like standard liquid shampoos made me greasy within a day or 2 and other bars I tried were too hard to wash out and left a film that weighed my hair down. I'm a big, big fan of Sweet & Spicy and have been using it exclusively for several years now. What my hair used to look like by Day 2 after a wash now takes 3 or 4 days after using this bar. I also feel like my hair is less flat/dull after air drying, which I've never really seen from other "volumizing" shampoos without a blow dry. Pro tip: when the bar starts to get a little soft, cut it in half! Save one half from being constantly subjected to shower conditions and you'll get some extra mileage.”

“I was sick of my hair feeling static at the bottom and oily on top so when I tried this bar I was pleasantly surprised at how well it made my hair feel! It lathers amazing and the shine after blow drying is awesome. I recommend this bar for those with fine and oily hair like mine, it’s worth it!”

“[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have short hair that is fine and frizzy with loose curls. I have a dry and sensitive scalp, and I’ve found that this shampoo works well for me. This is the first bar shampoo I’ve tried and I’ve decided to review it after using it for a couple of months to make sure I still like it (which I do). I tend to air dry my hair and it normally has nice curls, a reasonable amount of frizz, and it doesn’t look flat or oily near my scalp. The shampoo doesn’t foam as much as traditional shampoo, but my hair always comes out feeling clean and I’ve had no real issues using it with hard water. I haven’t noticed a buildup on my hair and have been able to go more than a day between washes (which isn’t something I could really do before).”
