Aloe vera is a green and spiky plant from the succulent family that grows in tropical and sub-tropical climates. • the yellow substance, called latex, found just under the plant’s skin

When you snap or cut their fleshy stems, a thick and clear substance comes out known as natural aloe vera gel. As soon as you apply fresh aloe vera gel to the skin it produces a cooling effect, providing sweet relief after a day spent out in the sun.

Aloe vera products often contain a compound called glucomannan, which is said to boost the production of collagen and new skin cells. It has been said that it helps dry, cracked skin to become smooth and soft and can be used to maintain well-hydrated skin.
